Yikes Ike!!!

So Hurricane Ike is the big story here today. We have been told to "shelter in place"and "hunker down" soooo......that's what we're doing. The grocery store looked like a mad house last night and this morning. The lines for gasoline at Kroger were 6 and 7 cars deep at each bay. It looked awful. Thankfully Kyle filled up my car last night but he had to drive to several places before he found a place that hadn't run out and that was at 10 PM last night.

Here is a neat website we are checking out to update us on Ike's stats...Stormpulse

We are well stocked and Baby John has no idea of the impending storm. In fact he's at school right now. He didn't do so well on, this, his second day. I think he recognized the building and once he saw all the kids he really freaked out....talk about a meltdown.....the teacher said sometimes the second time is harder and it can take up to 6 times before he doesn't freak out.

Kyle and I enjoyed brunch at Buffalo Grille this morning (by ourselves---gasp!). On our way to the restaurant we drove by the school and saw John enjoying playground time with a bucket and some sand. No worries! Playground time is happy time!

PS--Kyle has requested that you call us on our home phone instead of our cell phones so we don't run out of minutes, in case we need to use our cell phones a lot after the storm. Thanks!
