First we must say congratulations to my brother-in-law, Phillip, and his wife Cami who are expecting their first baby!!!! YAY! John will have another cousin. Y'all may place your bets now as to whether or not this will be the SIXTH Bethancourt grandbaby boy....soooo exciting!
Second, we received our electric bill yesterday in the mail. Painful. Unfortunately we have a variable rate that has spiked dramatically the past 2 months, doubling our bill each time. Yes, doubling. So yesterday Kyle and I were in such shock and disbelief that we set the thermostat at 80 and brought out our little high powered fan. Unfortunately the fan made it's way into our bedroom and kept me awake almost all night last night with it's loud whirring. Not sure how long that will last. We may also invest in some of those battery powered head lamps to wear around the house instead of using our electricity....
We've also considered putting John to work to earn his keep around here. You think I'm joking? Yes, it's that bad.
Today we celebrated our nation's independence by heading to Miramont in College Station and hanging at the pool. John got to brush up on his swimming skills and play with his cousins Alex, Luke, Isaac, & Jack.
