Whenever we get together with them it is always a delightful culinary experience. Gwendolyn is a pastry chef but is also a tremendous cook in things other than dessert. She always has some fun cooking trick up her sleeve whether we dine at their place or ours. Once, we made individual homemade pizzas (she made the dough from scratch!). Another time we made individual choclate molten cakes. Gwendolyn showed me how to make the thick and gooey chocolate chip cookies that many of you know and love. Last night they brought over a hand-crank ice cream contraption and we hand-cranked our own blackberry ice cream. I don't think I've ever experienced homemade ice cream before?? YUMMY!
