Christmas 2008

I can finally blog about Christmas now. The secret is out of the bag. We had a big Christmas surprise on the day before Christmas Eve. Kyle's parents had gone to the airport to retrieve Kyle's brother, Phillip, and wifey Cami. When they showed up at our house we greeted Phillip and Cami and a few seconds later Justin, Erin, & all the boys came bursting through our front door. SURPRISE!!!!

Now for those of you that may not know, this is quite a surprise because Kyle's brother, Justin, and his family live in Jakarta, Indonesia. They usually come home only once a year--during the summer--and there is always lots of coordination when they come seeing as they have 4 boys, triplets (age 5) and Jack (age 3). So for them to make a top secret 24-hour flight half way across the world to join us for Christmas was a miracle indeed. I think I was in complete shock because my eyes saw them in my house but my brain said they should be in Indonesia. But what fun we are having with them. It was a special treat. And John is loving having all these boys to tumble around with.

The teepee we got John at the Nutcracker Market was unveiled on Christmas day. It was a hit. John loves it so much that we have to put it up after a while because he insists that anyone in the room must go and sit in the teepee with him. He also likes to go inside and put his finger to his lips and say "Shhhhh!!!"
