Today was another great day in Philly. I think the high was about 78
degrees, sunny with a nice breeze. A perfect day to walk to work and
eat lunch outside (both of which I did). The man who sits next to me at work (my neighbor) is quite a hummer. I imagine he must have a great singing voice because his hum is quite pleasant. I think if I ever forget my iPod, I'll ask him to sing for me instead.
Did I mention there is an espresso bar in this office? Liquid
energy--ON DEMAND! Love it.
This week is Restaurant Week in Phila. For one week in September about
85 of the top restaurants in town create a special 3-course prix fixes menu($30/person) which showcases their cuisine. Apparently we should have
booked weeks in advance but thankfully my resourceful hubby secured
some reservations for us tonight at the chef's table at Pasion!, a
Spanish cuisine restaurant right down the street from our place. Muy
delisioso! The flan was excellent. Kyle and I are not flan fans but this one was superb as was the rest of the menu.
Too bad it's not Restaurant Month because there are so many great
restaurants on the list. The The Grill at the Ritz Carlton, McCormick & Schmick's, Ruth's Chris and other great local places are on the list. We'll have to remember this and save up in advance for next year!
Ok, we're watching the Martha Stewart Apprentice show which is getting juicy so I'm signing off for tonight.
I hope everyone back home is safe from Rita. I'm a little worried about it all but I'll be praying for your safety.
