What I Like About Ike

#5 Trying to steer clear of people in "Panic Mode"at the grocery store/hardware store. They're easy to spot as those with a slightly wild look in their eye, wielding their carts at 15mph down the aisles and pushing their way to the bottled water/plywood even though there are pallets of water/plywood sitting outside the store (if you didn't notice) and the storm is 2 days away. You know what I'm talkin' about...you saw them too...

#4 "Hunkerin' down" & "Sheltering in place"

#3a Watching Geraldo Rivera get pounded by 90 mph winds, then suddenly get smacked in the face with debris, hold his hand over his face saying "I just got hit!", and keep on reporting....

#3b Geraldo's wind-o-meter cronie who was wandering behind him aimlessly in every shot wearing rain gear and holding up what appeared to be one of those windmill party toys to gauge the wind speed every 10 seconds....this is the best example I could find. You can see wind-o-meter cronie on the upper left of the screen attempting to hide behind the trees....this actually provided many minutes of entertainment for us that evening.

#2 John sleeping through the whole storm.

#1 Spending time with family while our refrigerator contents rotted and our house sweltered.
