More Poop Talk--I Promise This is It!

So I hate to continue on the theme of the past few days. I know y'all are probably so over this potty talk but my sister-in-law, Erin, reminded me of my first diarrhea diaper experience which well prepared me for the events of yesterday.

Kyle and I had been married about a year and were the only family members in town and available in the middle of the night to help Justin & Erin in times of emergency with the triplets. We received a plea for help one night because the triplets were very sick, Erin was pregnant with #4, & I think Justin had taken one of the boys to the hospital?? I don't know...the evening was a blur....

Kyle and I went to help out with 2 sick boys and suffice to say that was my first ever encounter with a DD. I'll spare you the details but I have to give Kyle credit for the best "task-punting" line. As soon as we smelled it we knew.....I gave Kyle a look of terror and tried to plead that he take this one. Kyle looked at me equally terrified and said, "I've never even seen a poopy diaper before in my life. My first one can't be a DD!!!" And, I had to hand it to him...it was true. I didn't want to ruin my husband for the rest of his life so I took one for the team....Team Bethancourt.

And look at the boys (all four of them!!!!) now.....Congratulations, Erin, I know there is still more to come but I wish there were some sort of public award I could nominate you (AND Justin) for all the hard work you've done these past 5 years. I guess the praise will just have to extend to the far reaches of my blog readers! You are a fantastic mommy and I feel really blessed to have you as a sister-in-law.

Speaking of sisters-in-law....I have been meaning to give a shout-out to Cami & Phillip who are expecting their first baby boy in January!!! We are SUPER DUPER excited that you are going to be parents AND thanks for adding more testosterone to the grandbaby pool. This makes the sixth boy grandchild on the Bethancourt side....
