I've already blogged about how fun it is to have John somewhat communicational (is that a word?). We have our own little language and it is fun to translate what he is saying. Most of the time I can figure out what he is telling me but yesterday I was stumped.
John and I were in his new big boy room which is still "under construction". I have set up his Christmas gift tent/teepee in there and we were inside singing songs and reading books. All of the sudden John stops and says to me "boobers". I'm baffled. This sounds like his word for blueberries. What on earth do blueberries have to do with our singing and reading? John is still pointing to his room insisting on "boobers". We don't keep blueberries in his room either so after a few "I don't understand"s I tell him to go to his room and show me what he wants. I stay behind in the teepee and hear lots of rustling in his room. He finally comes back with one kleenex in his hand and a look that says "woman, am I speaking chinese?" BOOBERS!
Clearly.......boogers?! It is still unclear whether he thought I had boogers or he was telling me he had boogers but we both blew our noses and went on our merry way. Apparently since I've been sick and John has had a little runny nose the word "boogers" has embedded itself into John's little vocabulary.
Beware of boobers during cold season!

Sorry Lori, but you are wrong on the disclaimer. I laughed out loud sitting here at my desk.
Hope you all are doing well.
