We had dinner with Sean & Sarah on Friday night. It was really nice to see them. They were in town for a wedding in upstate New York.
Saturday evening we walked across the Brooklyn Bridge.

Lucky for us we picked the day the bridge was overrun with crazies attending the coo-koo parade (thankfully they didn't ruin our picture). It seems that red and yellow stripes make up the international flag of Crazy Land and the town square was the Brooklyn Bridge. Kyle asked several people what was going on.....it seems the self proclaimed "freaks and deviants" were assembling for an evening-long wandering party with a discreet undisclosed destination. They invited us to join them to this undisclosed destination.....we politely declined the invitation. Despite the odd-ness of the situation, it was a beautiful evening and we enjoyed the exercise.
Sunday we tried out a new church called Mosaic Manhattan. We enjoyed the teaching but we'll probably be back to our usual church, The Journey, next Sunday. Mostly we tried to stay indoors while the sun was out because it's almost unbearable to walk around in that heat.....
