Another Friday Night, Another Week

First of all, a big HURRAY for the Astros!! We're anxiously anticipating the 1st game of the World Series. My mom reports that the Mayor declared everyone in Houston should go sock-less throughout the series.

Whoa! It's been a busy week. Kyle's been furiously studying for finals. 2 days in NYC (Mon & Tues) for me has wiped me out. I had meetings all day on Thursday in Philadelphia.

Today at the Philadelphia office they moved me from my nice window seat cubicle and sitting around people to sitting all by myself in what used to be a conference room . It's actually kind of depressing. I tried to remain positive about the whole thing because the conference room used to be the owner of the company's office. It's a corner office with glass looking out into the lobby and it has a heater in it so no more frozen hand syndrome for me. But it's still more isolated than I would like. And I was just starting to get such good leads on road trip destinations from my neighbor at work! He's the one who recommended Longwood Gardens and we all know how perfect that trip turned out!

Kyle and I went to Pietro's Coal Oven Kitchen this evening for dinner. It was yummy. Another one of our little neighborhood restaurants. It's so cold here already. It reinforces my fear about winter. I've already brought out my wool coat and a lot of people are just wearing light jackets?! I'm still trying to figure out how to dress.

Hopefully the rain will let up around here so I can get out while Kyle studies all weekend.
