Let There Be No Doubt...

....my little boy luuuuves his Daddy.

The one thing we came back from California with was one little boy's HUGE attachment to his Daddy. After spending so much time with Kyle, I think John has formed a new best bud. Which kinda makes me sad :( I've been replaced!
John follows Kyle around like a little puppy. Daddy plays the best games, reads the best books, likes to take him outside in the 100 degree heat, and generally does all the fun things John likes to do. When Daddy leaves the room, John follows as fast as his chubby legs can take him. When Daddy leaves the room and John can't or isn't supposed to follow, tears start streaming down John's face accompanied by the saddest cry you've ever heard.

Today John and I were playing on the floor and when I heard the car pull into the driveway I said "Daddy's home!". John dropped the toys and immediately ran to the back door to greet his buddy. I say I'm sad but I actually feel really blessed to get to see my two guys enjoying eachother's company so much.
Here they are running from the waves on the beach in Carmel

and reading about Clifford, the big red dog

So yesterday morning I had a hair appointment and it was up to the two musketeers to entertain eachother. I came home and John was already napping. When I looked at him on the video monitor I was confused about what he was wearing. He was in some sort of shiny material? "Is he in a superman outfit?", I asked, "what is that?". This is what you get when you let your husband decide how to dress the child....

I would have to agree there is something absolute about watching your husband as a father. Very cool that he has discovered his Daddy :)
