Guys Night and Girls Night

Kyle took John to the Astros game with Uncle Justin and the 4 boys. John luvs him some baseball. He was so jazzed to go with his cousins.

When he got out of the car upon returning he looked at me and said very clearly "I caught a baseball!" Which was sort of true. His dad did catch a baseball in batting practice. Then he kept saying "homerun" and telling me about the playground he went to with his cousins where he ran the bases. This little boy loves baseball (and golf).
So it's no wonder John asks to sleep with his baseball glove AND baseball most nights. Since Kyle usually puts John to bed while I put Anna to bed I am always puzzled when I see John sleeping on the video monitor. I have to ask Kyle what the random objects are in John's bed. Usually it's a football or baseball glove but other times I notice he's wearing a hat while sleeping? Yes, that's because he asks to wear his "golfing hat" and Kyle obliges him in his crazy fantasies. I guess that's what daddies are for. On the other hand, when I put John to bed he demands that I tuck in Elmo and Lambie with him and give everyone a kiss before I leave.

So anyways, since the boys were gone Anna and I were up to our own mischief last night. You got it: some crafting, baby! When everyone returned and Justin saw the sewing machine out he asked me if this was crafting project #17,362. Why, yes it is! and here is the result:
Too bad I didn't measure quite right and the dress is a smidge too short but you live and learn, right?
I'm seriously considering making myself a shirt top to match Anna's dress. I remember when I used to think it was dorky for mom and daughter to dress alike and now I am the dweeb who is going to actually do it! Oh, yeah, baby. Matching outfits here we come....but not too many....now that would be dorky!
