Do You Even Have A Clue?

There's nothing like having old friends. And I mean friends you've had since you were 3-4 years old. Last night as I was settling in for the evening my friend, Carole Anne, who lives in Dallas, texted me to let me know that Clue (the movie) was on ABC Family channel. I texted back to say HA HA and thanks for letting me know. I switched it on real quick for old times sake and just as I was about to explain to my husband how significant this movie was to me and my two dear childhood friends he said "Is this Clue? All right! This is a great movie!"

And that is why I love this man! Our marriage was meant to be....

Then I texted my other childhood friend, Veronica, who lives in Denver to let her know the movie was on and within seconds she replied back "Yea! Clue!" proceeded with a direct quote from said movie which made me chuckle.

To understand why this random text chain is so endearing is to know 3 little girls named Lori, Veronica, & Carole Anne circa 1986. Veronica and I lived two houses apart and when we had sleepovers we would watch Clue over and over and OVER, stay up way past midnight, laugh hysterically at the funny parts, re-enact scenes, and recite random lines. This was serious entertainment for us. Carole Anne and I used to watch this movie while on vacation at her parent's house in Santa Fe, NM when we were bored silly and trapped on a mountain top. And we thought Tim Curry was quite possibly the funniest man on the planet with his British accent.

These are the memories that last night's text frenzy brought back to me. What a blessing to have girlfriends that are like sisters to me.
