So John has a new trick these days that was very subtle to spot but we finally caught on to his shenanigans by the end of our vacation. Lately we noticed that he likes to put up his arms in front of his face and make fists and stare at them. We call it "putting up his dukes" because he looks like he's trying to box. He did this almost obsessively the last few days we were in CA. Well, I finally realized what the little guy was trying to do. Kyle and I play exercise games with him where we hold on to his arms when he's lying down and pull him to a sitting position (or even more often) he pushes up with his feet to a standing position like in this picture....
Well I guess he decided he can do this on his own and whenever he is in a semi-reclined position he tries to sit up by putting his arms parallel to eachother in front of his face and pulling forward. It's quite a funny sight to see him try so hard to sit up on his own. I have to give him an "A" for effort.
The website I use to host this blog now has a feature to let me upload video!! This is your worst nightmare people....so I apologize in advance because this video is as exciting as watching paint dry. It's one of those only-a-parent-could-watch-this-over-and-over-again videos. BUT I wanted to try out the video feature. This is our attempt at capturing John in the act of doing his trick but it's really a half-hearted attempt on his part....
