Ugh! For the past few evenings I've been forcing down the repugnant mixture of hot water, lemon juice, honey, & scotch to ward off my throat soreness and pesky sniffles. My mom used to give me this when I was sick. It works and helps me to sleep but BOY does it taste icky!
Tomorrow I have to work in NYC so I HAVE GOT to feel better. After this week, I just have half of the next week and I'll be back home to Texas. I can't wait! I'm so ready for some time off.
Last night we went to a party of Kyle's classmate that was on the 21st floor of our building. I met a bunch of Kyle's other classmates which was fun. The highlight of the party was the fire alarm going off about 45 minutes into it and we all had to evacuate the building. Of course Kyle and I didn't bring our coats because we didn't leave the building to go to the party. Standing in the cold with no coats wasn't too fun. Then the challenge was to get back upstairs and anyone who has visited us knows the horrible elevator situation. Imagine at least 60 people trying to get back upstairs. So we decided to take the garage elevator to the 14th floor and then walk up to the 21st floor. I definitely felt the burning in my thighs and hope to never climb that many stairs again.
