Quiet time used to be a pretty easy thing for John but lately it is a point of contention. QT is met with a chorus of "AAAAWWWWW!!!" and "I dont WANNA do quiet time!" and "no. NEV-ER!" One thing John does like is listening to music during quiet time. Offering my iPod stereo usually diffuses the tense situation. In December he was all about listening to Christmas music during quiet time--specifically "Joy to the World". The man literally listened to "Joy to the World" on repeat for the entire hour of quiet time on several occasions.
So in the spirit of music, John and I put together an ecclectic playlist of his favorite songs for him to jam to during quiet time. In no particular order here is John's Quiet Time iTunes Playlist:
Joy To the World - Casting Crowns
O Holy Night - Matthew Perryman Jones/Your King Has Come CD
Drive My Car - Laurie Berkner
The Goldfish Song - Laurie Berkner
Under A Shady Tree - Laurie Berkner
I've Got A Butt - Uncle Jim
Make A Joyful Noise - Psalty
Our God - Chris Tomlin
Famous One - Chris Tomlin
Mad - Ne-Yo
You're The One That I Want - John Travolta & Olivia Newton-John/Grease Soundtrack
Dynamite - Taio Cruz
Blessed Be Your Name - Tree 63
Down On the Corner - CCR
Gasolina - Daddy Yankee
Up Around the Bend - CCR
Interesting mix, huh? A little dance. a little praise. a little funk. and a lotta fun!

Maybe I need to try this idea for Addison...she throws a royal fit every day when I announce it is QT. We do it EVERY day so you'd think she'd get the idea that I'm not going to budge! haha
