Snow Day--Part Two

If you're reading this blog in a reader program you should head over to my proper blog site for a little treat!

So I just got my Chrismas present a few days ago (the Nikon camera!) so the snow pictures and these are my first pictures using the new camera. I am practicing with a different lens so some of my pictures came out a little different than I expected--specifically the focusing got a bit wacky on me. I'm still learning!)

While it was snowing on Friday John and I opened the blinds, enjoyed the big fluffy snowflakes falling, listened to Christmas music, and made/decorated sugar cookies. Here are some pictures of our grand ol' time....

Cutting out the shapes!

Rolling the dough!

My flour-child is very concentrated here

Who? Me? I didn't eat the dough!

Heee heee!

Our victims....cooling off and waiting to be iced!

We made different colors of icing and spread the icing carefully....

....oh so carefully....

....added some sprinkles....and there you go!

And if you're wondering how our dear Mr. Frosty fared....as of this morning he looked like he submitted himself to gastric bypass surgery

BUT he lasted 48 hours in Houston. That has got to be a record.

And gotta throw in a picture of The Banana in her cold weather gear at our friend, Luke's, birthday party yesterday

Yay! You got a Nikon! What kind? Which lenses? I started scrolling through the pics first, and I was like, "Wow, those are some good looking pictures! I wonder if she rented the camera again." And when I went back and read, I saw you got a new one. :) Your kids are such cute photography subjects!
