Cameras and Stuff

The story of my life is that I am hardly ever in pictures with my own children since I am the de facto family photographer.

A few nights ago this was my lame attempt to get Kyle to take a picture with me and the kids....

The next morning my friend, Dee, came over for a brief visit with her two kids. Her son, Parker, and Anna were born one day apart at the same hospital and Dee and I were practically roomies. She actually is a professional photographer but she agreed to use my sucky camera in an attempt to take some impromptu pictures of me with the kids. They turned out much better...too bad I was wearing my swimsuit with a coverup and no makeup. I wasn't exactly "picture ready" that morning but it's actually a cute picture. I'll take it! Thanks, Dee!

We are headed to California tomorrow so we decided to rent a fancy camera from a friend who has a camera rental business. I've always liked to take pictures but I can't really justify the expense (monetarily and time-wise) into learning how to use the gadget since I have a gazillion other hobbies at the moment that take precedence. Have you read this blog lately?

But today I got to play around with my new toy and pretend like I have a fancy camera for a few days. Here are a few of my fun pictures from today....

Sorry they're a little grainy. I think it's because they're so high res and I uploaded them small.

And, yes, that's me carrying Anna around in the baby carrier taking pictures in the bathroom. I didn't say it was very purposeful picture-taking but it was fun.
