Museum and Limitations

We awoke to another rainy, dreary, and cold day. What to do with the little man? He gets very bored at home and loves to expend energy playing outside. The park was out, of course. Last time we went to the Memorial City play castle it was a disaster and he just wanted to sit next to me and eat goldfish (not the point of the trip!). So today I decided to go to the Children's Museum. We have a membership but we haven't been in several months. I knew they were working on a new addition but I had no idea they revamped almost the whole thing.

I cruised in and headed toward our usual "Tot Spot" (0-3 year age) and there was a gift shop in it's place and I noticed the whole area had changed. Apparently tomorrow is the official opening day so there were a lot of people there. The Tot Spot moved to the second floor and it's bigger, better, and more modern than ever. Not to mention there are windows to get in some natural light. The old Tot Spot was a bit cave-ish. So if you haven't been in a while it's definitely worth it.

I was hesitant to head so far from home. It took us a while to get there with all the traffic but I decided if I had to be anywhere the Children's Museum is the place to be--it's 5 minutes from the Medical Center, where my doctor and hospital are.

It's getting much harder for me to pick John up and be as active as he wants me to be. It's a little disappointing for me and it makes for a cranky little man when he wants me to do stuff that is sort of physically impossible. Kyle has been a big help entertaining John while I just assume the beached whale position on the couch. I am very much ready to hold Anna in my arms and see her little face. Let's go, A! What're you waiting for?? We can't wait to meet you.

Just not in the next 3 hours or so...it's Friday the 13th....after midnight we're good to go again.
