Happy Father's Day to Kyle, John, my dad, & Papaw!!! We are so blessed to have you in our lives and especially honor you and thank you today. Kyle--thanks for being John's (second) favorite buddy (I'm his first!!!). He has so much fun playing with you and I love getting to see you be a Dad.

John is our little daredevil. The man is starting to get pretty darn confident with his walking skills. In fact sometimes he just decides to let go of your hand and wing it which pretty much scares the heck out of me.
On Thursday John was suspiciously walking around the side table in our living room. When I turn to check on him he gives me a look that totally said "I'm gonna do it, mom. I'm gonna let go of this sucker and make it to the window sill over there." And in one split second he did just that. He let go and made it to the window sill. After much laughing and clapping (on both our parts) John continued repeating this 4 step trek between the side table and window sill. On about the sixth time I decided it was time to capture this momentous occasion on video. I ran for my camera and readied myself for his next move. Well, this time his feet stopped moving but his body tipped forward.....and you know the rest....forehead smashed on the window sill. It wasn't pretty. Unfortunately I got it on video tape so we ended up reliving it again (and again and again and again). I will not be posting that video, thank you very much. However this incident hasn't broken his confidence as he still enjoys walking from person to person. I guess we could say that John is a Max X kinda guy.
